Working and Training in Germany with European Qualification
Medical Doctors or specialists (Physicians) who have completed their basic medical training in Germany or another EU Member country have the right to practice their profession (Medical Doctors or specialists) anywhere within the European Union after they have registered with the relevant responsible authority of the country. Therefore, Medical Doctors or specialists with qualification obtained in any of EU countries; once they have registered with the State Chambers of Physicians (German authority responsible for issuing licences to practise) and had their speciality qualifications assessed for conformity by the relevant national or state body have the full right to practice and or train in Germany.
In Germany, specialist diplomas which cannot be automatically recognised are assessed on a case-by-case basis by the relevant State Chamber of Physicians. In such instances, the content and duration of the speciality training will be examined with regard to Directive 2005/36/EC in order to determine whether it corresponds with the speciality training regulations of the relevant State Chamber.
Therefore, to Work or train as medical doctor in Germany, it is better to be graduate from EU/EEA.
